Big Inning Strikes Warriors Again

PUNTA GORDA, FL -- The big inning continued to plague Winona State Univesity as the Warriors lost a 13-6 contest to John Carroll College, OH.
This time it was the first frame when JCU put up six runs to erase a 1-0 WSU lead. John Carroll then added three runs in ech of the second and third frames.
The Warriors did try a small comback, scoring once in the fourth and three times in the sixth.
Tony Mueller had a big game with four hits, one of which was a triple, to go with two runs scored and a run batted in.
Kyle Collins and
Sam Henriksen added two hits apiece with Collins scoring two runs.
Zach Rickaway and
Joe Kley combined for the final five innings of pitching for the Warriors and allowed only one run on three hits, three walks and struck out four.
