SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. – The Winona State women's cross used a pair of top six finishes to finish second at the Bob Waxlax Invitational Friday in Sauk Rapids.
Senior Jordan Paschke led the Warriors with a fifth-place finish with a time of 22:08.1. For the third time this season, sophomore Raissa Hansen finished right behind Paschke, clocking in in sixth place with a time of 22:12.8.
Also earning top 15 finishes were junior Madeline Martell, who finished 13th with a time of 23:00.9, followed by freshman Emily Tyrell (23:06.6) and junior Amanda Kaiser (23:06.8).
The Warriors took home second place as a team in the seven-team invite with 53 points, trailing only Minnesota Duluth who won the event with a score of 24. Minnesota State finished in third with 83 points.
Winona State next competes at the Drews-Neubauer Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 11:30 a.m. in West Salem, Wisconsin.
