MANKATO, Minn. – Senior Jordan Paschke won the 3000-meter run to pace the Winona State track and field team at day one of the Minnesota State Open & Multi in Mankato.
Paschke took first place with a time of 10:14.93, which ranks as the third-best mark in program history. Raissa Hansen added a third place finish in the event in 10:27.69, which is the program's fifth-best mark all-time. McKenzie Fortier took fourth in 10:51.33.
Olivia Fixsen earned a second-place showing in the high jump portion of the pentathlon with a measurement of 5' 1 ¾".
Kaitlyn Long took second in the weight throw with a 66' 4" toss (20.23m) while teammate Abbey Ristow finished third at 55' 5" (16.91m).
Day two action starts at 9 a.m. Saturday inside Myers Field House in Mankato.
