EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Winona State women's cross country team finished 7
th at the Blugold Invitational on Friday in Eau Claire, Wis. The invitational contained 217 runners from 14 different schools and unattached runners.
Madeline Tompach led the Warriors with a time of 24:06.1 to earn a 26
th place finish. Emily Tyrell was the second Warrior to finish; doing so in a time of 24:29.7 placing her at 36
th. Freshman
Anna Rogahn finished with a time of 25:26.4, placing her just outside of the top 50 runners at 51
st place.
Senior
Erin Matthew completed the race with a time of 25:45.3 to finish in 56
th place. Junior
Katie Vergeront ran a 25:53.9 to finish 60
th. Freshman
Nikki Staffen ran a time of 26:21.0. Sophomore
Maria Sabourin finished with a time of 26:39.3 and sophomore
Bailey Hlavachek finished with a time of 27:35.6.
The Warriors return to the trails on Friday, October 7
th, at the Bob Waxlax Invitational in St. Cloud, Minn.
