BRADENTON, Fla. – Four Warriors were in action on day one of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships Thursday at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
The Warriors had three entrants in the hammer throw finals, with Erin Perkins leading the way with an 11th place finish, recording her best throw of 182' 6" on her final of three attempts. Nicole Nelson finished 14th, also recording her best attempt on her last throw with a distance of 179' 5". Kaitlyn Long also competed, but fouled on each of her three attempts.
Megan Seidl also competed in the 400-meter dash preliminaries, finishing better than her seed with a time of 55.93, the 15th best mark in the event.
Ashley Thooft competes in the discus throw finals at 4 p.m. (CST) Friday, while Seidl is back in action at 4:50 p.m. with the 200-meter dash preliminaries.
