INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The first NCAA DII Volleyball Regional Rankings have been released and Winona State University checks in at No. 7 in the Central Region.
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has six of the top 10 teams ranked in the region, including No. 1 Southwest Minnesota State (21-2) and No. 2 Concordia-St. Paul (21-2).
The NSIC, Mid-America Athletic Association (MIAA) and Great American Conference (GAC) make up the 40-team NCAA Central Region. The top eight teams in the region will advance to the NCAA region tournament on November 30-December 2.
Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the GAC, MIAA and NSIC postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots awarded on an at-large basis.
The NCAA DII Volleyball selection show will be streamed online on Monday, November 20 at 6:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.
Winona State (17-7) is ranked No. 15 in the latest AVCA Coaches' Poll and has won three straight matches against Top 25 opponents.
The Warriors wrap up the home portion of their regular season schedule this weekend with matches against Minot State (Friday) and U-Mary (Saturday).
