Larsen named NSIC Volleyball Setter of the Week

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Winona State University's McKenna Larsen has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Volleyball Setter of the Week for the second time this season, the conference office announced on Monday.

Larsen helped guide the Warrior offense to a .332 hitting percentage over two road sweeps last weekend, including a straight-set victory at No. 7 Northern State.

The senior setter compiled 68 assists, 20 digs, 18 kills and two service aces in the Winona wins. Larsen tallied her third triple-double of the season at Moorhead on Friday with 10 kills, 14 digs and 33 assists.

The Oconto Falls, Wisconsin native ranks sixth in the NSIC in assists/set (10.53) and seventh in service aces/set (0.34).

No. 15 Winona State (21-7, 15-5 NSIC) closed out a perfect 10-0 road record against conference opponents this year with the weekend sweep.

The Warriors travel to No. 6 Minnesota Duluth on Wednesday for the first round of the NSIC postseason tournament. First serve is set for 6 p.m. WSU enters the match riding a season-best seven match winning streak.
