MENOMONIE, Wis. – The Winona State gymnastics team won three events and had a top finisher in each event as they won the John Zuerlein Invitational hosted by UW-Stout with a score of 187.650.
As a team Winona State won the bars, balance beam and floor events. The Warriors were led by first place performances from
Eboni Jackson,
Katie Pipp and Sunny Hasebe. Jackson had two first place finishes, a 9.650 on the vault and a 9.725 on the floor. Pipp landed a 9.550 on the bars and Hasebe nailed a 9.625 on the balance beam.
Pipp, Hasebe and Jackson were the top three finishers for the bars. Winona State also had the three of the top four places on the balance beam.
Eboni Jackson won the all-around event with a 38.325.
The Warriors will be on the road to compete at the Harley Invitational next weekend that will be hosted by UW-Whitewater and will include UW-Whitewater, Southeast Missouri and UW-Eau Claire.
