WINONA, Minn. – Winona State University gymnastics placed second on Friday night in McCown Gymnasium while hosting a tri-meet on Senior Night.
The Warriors scored 186.40 team points, finishing second to UW-Whitewater with a score of 187.525. Hamline placed third with a score of 183.675.
Eboni Jackson netted her third all-around championship of the season with a score of 38.275. The senior won the vault (9.525) and balance beam with a season-high score of 9.750. Jackson placed second on floor (9.750) and was fifth in bars (9.250).
Kelly Johnston placed fourth on beam with a score of 9.55 while Miranda Saathoff was fifth with a new high score for the year of 9.475.
Whitwater swept the top three places in bars with Winona's Katie Pipp placing fourth with a score of 9.375. Alexis Burton posted a new season-high score of 9.025 in the event.
Leah Messelt (9.475) and Kennedy Utz (9.4) each recorded new high scores for the year on floor exercise.
Alana Currin placed fourth on vault with a score of 9.35.
The Warriors are on the road for their next two meets, beginning on Sunday, February 4 at Illinois State University.
