Winona State Athletics Credentials Policy


Credentials and working space for media members are issued at the sole and exclusive discretion of the Winona State Intercollegiate Athletic Department. Issuance of credentials may be based on the following priorities and guidelines:

1. Originating radio and television personnel involved in a live broadcast.
2. Daily newspapers regularly covering Winona State, the current opponent or another Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Institution.
3. Officially recognized Winona State University student publications or student electronic media outlets with sports reports.
Requests for season passes should be submitted no later than August 15, 2010. Requests for single games should be made as far in advance as possible due to limited space.

Media credentials are issued solely to the person identified on it. It may not be transferred or used by any other person. Acceptance of a media credential requires compliance with all Winona State Athletics rules and regulations applicable to the media credential. Any breach or failure to comply with these terms, conditions, rules and/or regulations may result in the cancellation and withdrawal of the media credential, including but not limited to expulsion from the athletics event for which it was issued, and denial of a media credential for any and all future athletics events. You can contact Winona State Athletics with any questions on media credentials. Winona State Athletics reserves the right to deny access to any media outlet based on a space available.

Media Will Call: Credentials will not be mailed. Credentials will be left at the main entrance at the Will Call desk. Please have ID available.

Photographer Credentials: Credentials will be issued only to accredited media photographers who regularly cover Winona State Athletics and/or NSIC events. Photo credentials must be requested at least 48 hours in advance of each home game. Except with the prior written approval of the Winona State Athletics, no photographer, news entity, media agency or other individual or entity receiving a credential hereunder may sell photos of the competition.

Radio/Television:
Football:
Space for home broadcast crews is located in the east press box on the fourth floor on the east end of the field. Home radio crew is stationed at the lower level of the press box.
Visiting radio crew is stationed at the west press box in the lower level.
Television broadcast crew will placed in the west press box.

Basketball:
Space for the broadcast crew is located on press row and is extremely limited. Broadcast crews will be labeled on press row with both home and visiting crews near their respected bench.

Baseball/Softball:
Space for the broadcast crew is extremely limited please contact Winona State Athletic early to reserve a spot for a visiting broadcast.

Newspapers/Print Media:

Football and Soccer: All home and visiting media will be located in the press room on the fourth floor of the main press box.
Basketball: All home and visiting media will located courtside on press row, space is limited and Winona State Athletics reserves the right to deny access to any media outlet based on a space available.
Baseball and Softball: All home and visiting media will be located on the south east of either press box.

Radio and Television Broadcasts: All Warrior football, men’s and women’s basketball games can be heard on KQAL (89.5) and broadcasted live on HBC 25 (home) 24 (away). A limited number of games will be covered on the Warrior Sports Network (WSN) through out the 2010-11 season. Women’s Volleyball will be broadcast live on Penn Atlantic.

Wireless Internet/Phones: A password-protected wireless internet service is available for all writers, broadcast crews, and photographers at Winona State events.
